Ryan Murphy is switching things up.

It was previously announced the follow up to the first season of FX's critically acclaimed anthology series "American Crime Story," which retold the O.J. Simpson trial, would center around Hurricane Katrina. It was then announced the following third season would be about the murder of out fashion designer Gianni Versace. But Entertainment Weekly reports Season 2 will now be "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story."

Both seasons are expected to debut in 2018, though Variety reports production on "Katrina" is scheduled to begin in early 2018. Production on "Versace" started in April.

The "Versace" season is currently in production and stars Edgar Ramirez as the late designer. Darren Criss will play serial killer Andrew Cunanan and Penelope Cruz will star as Versace's sister, Donatella. Also appearing in the series is Ricky Martin, who will play Versace's longtime partner Antonio D'Amico, and Max Greenfield as Santo Versace, brother of Gianni and Donatella.

For the "Katrina" season, which will follow the tragedy before and after the hurricane devastated New Orleans, it was announced Annette Bening will star as former Lousiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco, Matthew Broderick as Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Michael D. Brown and Dennis Quaid as President George W. Bush. Ryan Murphy vets Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Paulson and Courtney B. Vance are also said to be appearing in the season.
