Earlier this week the cast of Season 4 of "The Boulet Brothers' Dragula" was announced with 10 performers competing for the title of Drag Supermonster, Entertainment Weekly reports. The show will air on Shudder this season.

"Among those competing for the most delightfully horrific prize in the drag industry will be 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season 5 alum (and Taylor Swift music video star) Jade Jolie; Hoso Terra Toma, the show's first competitor hailing from South Korea; Astrud Aurelia from 'Drag Race All Stars' winner Alaska's Drag Queen of the Year pageant; and Saint, who previously appeared on 'Dragula' season 3 as well as last year's all-star 'Resurrection' special, among others," EW writes.

The show's  co-director Michael Varrati took to Instagram to inform the fans that the fourth season is just around the corner.

With the tenants of Drag, Filth, Horror, and Glamour, The Boulet Brothers — Dracmorda and Swanthula — mix traditional horror memes with drag in their aesthetic in competitions that bring the contestants to their LA home for horror-based and sometimes cringe-worthy competitions. Their show has become a cult hit since it debut in 2016 "for its dangerously absurd challenges that have seen contestants jumping out of planes, piercing their skin with giant needles, eating bugs, jolting themselves with electric currents, getting embarrassing tattoos, and beating the hell out of each other in the middle of the desert," adds EW.

But instead of sashaying away, the lowest-scoring queen of the week is "exterminated" in an elaborate, scripted scene that usually sees the Boulet Brothers killing them in spectacularly campy ways.
Hosts and LA drag royalty The Boulet Brothers said: "This is absolutely the best season of the show that we've ever produced," reports Digital Spy.

"It's shocking, it's packed with stars, and it's an intense, unpredictable ride that's going to be a game changer for televised drag. We can't wait for the world to see what we've been up to — we have such sights to show you!"

Since moving to Shudder this season, the winning prize has been upped to $100,000. Shudder's general manager Craig Engler also expressed his excitement for the upcoming season: "We can't wait for Shudder members to see the new season of this groundbreaking series which is bigger and bolder than ever — the diverse cast, the judges, the drag art, the horror, the competitions and everything in between."

"We are delighted to be working with the talented Boulet Brothers on this series, which will be premiering during our biggest and the spookiest month of the year."

"The Boulet Brothers' Dragula" season 4 will premiere on October 19, 2021, at 3 am ET on Shudder— AMC Networks' premium streaming service dedicated to thriller, horror, and suspense. The fourth season comprises ten episodes, which will release on a weekly basis every Tuesday.
