Alec Baldwin Uses Anti-Gay Slurs in Twitter Rant

Alec Baldwin, who doesn't shy away from public outbursts, recently went off on a British journalist, using anti-gay slurs and violent language, because he said the actor's wife Hilaria Baldwin tweeted about wedding presents and TV appearances during James Gandolfini's funeral on Thursday, ABC News reports.

After the U.K.'s Daily Mail published a report detailing Hilaria Baldwin's active Twitter account, Alec Baldwin attacked the publication's writer George Stark in a Twitter rant, peppered with anti-gay slurs, expletives and threats.

"The pregnant yoga instructor's social media feed was full of upbeat posts while 'The Sopranos' star's friends, family and co-stars were gripped with grief at a New York Catholic church," Stark wrote. "Messages included a request for ideas about wedding anniversary presents and promotional notes about her upcoming appearance on the 'Rachael Ray show.'"

In response, Alec Baldwin, 55, later tweeted, "My wife and I attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some toxic Brit writes this fucking trash."

"I'd put my foot up your fucking ass, George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much," he said in another tweet, including a link to the Daily Mail article.

"I'm gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I'm gonna fuck...you...up," the "30 Rock" star wrote. He then wrote a few more tweets about Stark and said he fired his publicist before his account was disabled.

During the late "Sopranos" actor's funeral, Hilaria Baldwin's Twitter account sent out tweets asking followers for wedding anniversary ideas and retweeted @RachelRayShow's updates about her Thursday morning appearance. A source close to Hilaria Baldwin told the Huffington Post that " she merely later retweeted updates that had been tweeted during the service and was not actively tweeting inside the church," the publication writes.

Alec Baldwin's publicist, Matthew Hiltzik, who claims he still represents the actor, told HuffPost, "It is disgraceful that this reporter manufactured a story and never called for comment or explanation -- especially when it needlessly diverted attention away from a day to honor the memory of a beloved figure like Mr Gandolfini."

ABC News reports that Baldwin's wife defended herself on Twitter writing, "FYI I don't believe in bringing phones into a funeral and I never did and I never would." She also said, "Here is some info... When someone tweets something at a certain time, and you retweet it later, it posts the TIME the first person tweeted."

This isn't the first time Alec Baldwin has made headlines for an outburst. He once allegedly punched a New York Daily News photographer in the face last year and was thrown off an American Airlines flight in December 2011 after he refused to stop playing "Words With Friends" on his phone.
