Jon Hamm: Leave My Big Penis Alone
Jason St. Amand READ TIME: 2 MIN.
"Mad Men" star and full time hunk, John Hamm, is really getting sick and tired of you talking about his giant penis.
After it was revealed last March that Hamm, 43, is not a fan of wearing underwear, thus exposing his XXL manhood via paparazzi photos, the Internet had a field day and meme-fied Hamm's package by creating an endless supply of hilarious headlines and Tumblrs (try Googleing "John Hamm" and you'll find one of the search engine's suggested searches is "John Hamm bulge"). But Hamm doesn't think his larger-than-normal Johnson was anything to laugh about, telling Rolling Stone in 2013 he's tired of all the dick jokes.
Fast forward a year and he's still annoyed that men are going mad over his ding-dong, as E! News points out.
The actor, who appears on the cover of Men's Fitness this month, told the health magazine that he's still annoyed with all the attention his member is getting:
Would you want people walking up to you and pointing at your dick? I can't believe I'm still talking about this. But I've worn underwear every day of my life and the fact that I'm painted as this exhibitionist is a little annoying. It's become a meme, I guess. Being someone who people want to photograph, you have to open yourself up to the positive and negative. It is what it is. If I get mad at it I'll look like a douchebag. But it's silly.
He made similar remarks in the Rolling Stone interview last year, saying, "They're called 'private' for a reason" and, "I'm wearing pants, for fuck's sake. Lay off."
"I mean, it's not like I'm a fucking lead miner," Hamm added. "There are harder jobs in the world, But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my cock, I feel like that wasn't part of the deal. But whatever. I guess it's better than being called out for the opposite."
So quit looking focusing down there and concentrate on the acting. It is the last season of Don Draper after all.
