On August 2 at Rockwood Music Hall on New York City's Lower East Side, OutMusic & Independent Award-winning songstress Rachael Sage will team up with friends Seth Glier, Matt Nakoa and Michelle Citrin to presents A Benefit for Orlando. She will release her new song, "Disarm, Distrust" which was written in response to attack in Orlando.

"Like so many of my peers, I was overwhelmed with sadness when the news hit and of course knew that we had to do something," said Sage, an active member of the LGBT community who has performed at Pride Festivals from London to San Francisco. Sage was horrified by the attack on the Pulse Nightclub and immediately wanted to show solidarity. Within days, Sage had penned this poignant song.

Produced by Sage and Grammy Nominated cellist/composer Dave Eggar (Evanescence, Coldplay) "Disarm Distrust" was recorded at Carriage House Studios in Stamford, CT. The track will be released on Noisetrade on July 26 as a pay-what-you-want donation, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida.

This charitable campaign will also feature a concert event at the Rockwood Music Hall in New York on Aug 2, where Sage will be joined by Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Seth Glier, YouTube sensation and award-winning songwriter Michelle Citrin and Western Canadian Music Award nominee Matt Nakoa. All proceeds from this event will also be donated to the GLBT Community Center Orlando.
