Cocktail Culture: 5 Recipes to Be Thankful For

Brine that turkey, mash those potatoes, and stock the bar! Our favorite - and occasionally most stressful - holiday is just around the corner. What better way to celebrate than with one of these festive cocktail recipes?

100% Rye Old Fashioned
2 parts Canadian Club 100% Rye
8 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Pinch of Raw Sugar
Orange Peel to Garnish

Muddle sugar and bitters in a rocks glass. Add Canadian Club 100% Rye and ice. Stir and top with an orange peel as garnish.

EFFEN Spiced Orange Mule
2 parts EFFEN Blood Orange Vodka
1/2 part DeKuyper Hot Damn
Ginger Beer
Lime Wedge

Combine ingredients over fresh ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

Laphroaig Broadbay Sour
Created by Portland, OR mixologist, Jordan Felix
1 1/4 parts Laphroaig Select
1/4 part Amontillado Sherry
3/4 part Fresh Lemon Juice
2 teaspoons of Orange Marmalade
3 drops of Aromatic Bitters
Cinnamon Stick (for garnish)
Orange Peel (for garnish)

Build all ingredients in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with large ice. Garnish with a burnt cinnamon stick & orange peel.

Modelo Autumn Pear Cider

3 oz. Modelo Especial
3 oz. Pear Cider
2 to 3 Blackberries
1 Lemon
1 Sprig of Thyme or Rosemary

Muddle blackberries, lemon wedge, and a few pieces of thyme or rosemary in a shaker. Add a splash of beer, Pour Into a flute glass and fill half with Modelo Especial�. Top with pear cider.

Cruzan Pumpkin Pie Martini
1/2 part DeKuyper Buttershots Schnapps
1/2 part Pinnacle Whipped Vodka
1/2 part Cruzan Aged Dark Rum
2 parts Half and Half
1/2 part Pumpkin Puree
1 dash Pumpkin Spice
Whipped Cream

Add ingredients to an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with whipped cream.
