"Queer Eye" cast member Jonathan Van Ness had a "confession" to make to their social media followers regarding their recent weight loss.

UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported that JVN has "spoken for the first time about his experience with Ozempic-like weight loss jabs."

The celebrity stylist, who identifies as non-binary and uses "they/he/she" pronouns, took to Instagram to inform their followers that they have been "on a GLP-1 or weight loss medication," the writeup detailed.

"GLP-1 is the hormone that Ozempic and other weight loss drugs mimic," the Mail noted, adding that such "drugs increase feelings of fullness, reducing the amount of food a user consumes."

"I have had a long relationship with compulsive behavior and with food its no different," Van Ness disclosed in the Jan. 8 post.

Saying in his post that they had "gained and lost weight several times, very publicly," JVN said that they "knew that I needed a little bit of extra help.

"With everything that I have been through publicly and privately in the last couple of years, I gained quite a bit of weight, I was not feeling good and the most important thing was that my binge eating disorder was out of control," the "Queer Eye" star went on to add.

"The impulsive eating and binging left me feeling really not good, depressed and out of control," JVN continued. A physician recommended GLP-1, which they had tried in the form of pills previously but found that the pills "did not work for me."

At that point, the doctor advised trying injections, and the results were dramatically different.

"This was back in September, and I felt immediately better," JVN narrated in the post's video. "For the first time in my life, I have had control over my food intake."

"It has helped me so massively and that is part of why I want to be so honest with you because I know how important asking for help is and how much it can change your life in terms of healing."

Fans flooded the comments section with messages of support. "we love a transparent queen 👏👏," one person declared, while another posted, "Thank you for being open about it, when so many aren't!"

A third fan raved, "You look amazing!" before saying that a plan to maintain weight loss is important for those who use such treatments in the short term.

Others offered more general plaudits. "You are such a blessing ❤️" one commentator posted, while another complimented JVN with, "She's glowing. She's hydrated. She's moisturized. She's honest. We ❤️ you!"
