This sweet and well-meaning documentary looks at five male couples at various stages of their relationships. Guess what? Gay people fall in love and have relationships, just like straight people! This is a gay movie for heterosexuals, meant to cut through prejudice by showing our lives as they really are. That makes it a very useful movie, but not necessarily an interesting or artistic one for those already out of the closet. Still, with the election looming and the gay marriage debate back in the headlines, the video release is well timed. Now let's get copies of this DVD into every library in the country.
