Kathy Griffin is a funny lady, but you wouldn't know it from this disc. The uber-fag hag, reality TV star, and D-list celebrity knows how to tell a funny story, but her ability to sell a joke far outweighs her ability to write one. Her unique selling point has been her fly-on-the-wall stories about Hollywood and true tales of weird celebrity behavior. But Griffin seems to have run out of mildly naughty stories, because here she dwells on tired topics like "Oprah Is Out Of Touch With The World" and "My Mom Embarrasses Me." It's almost like the once-edgy Griffin's career is following Margaret Cho's evolution in reverse; except that Cho's earliest material, even when it veered into stand-up clich?, was a lot tighter. There are a few laughs here and there, but far too much of this poorly considered disc is filler.
